We are so excited to announce that a team that has recently graduated from the university at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City (IHOP-KC) will be coming to Vienna in just 3 weeks! Please join us at MHOP during the week of June 27 - July 2 as they will lead us in worship and intercession, as well as provide a teaching seminar on Friday and Saturday called "Foundations of Worship". This seminar is free of charge; however, there will be an offering taken for the team. There will also be German translation provided.

In addition to our current weekly schedule, we are pleased to announce two new prayer sessions. These meetings will be contemplative in nature and begin the first week of March, 2011. The added times are Thursday afternoons from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. and Friday mornings from 6:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.

onething'09 Conference

The Mercy House of Prayer would like to invite you to a special viewing in the prayer room of the onething'09 conference from Kansas City (USA). onething is a ministry out of the International House of Prayer Missions Base in Kansas City, Missouri (IHOP-KC). God is raising up a movement of young adults and onething is dedicated to challenging them with four primary mandates: the end times, intimacy with God, intercession, and justice. Each year, onething holds over nine conferences around the nation and globally. The onething'09 conference originally took place on December 28-31, 2009 with the theme being "What the Spirit is Speaking to the Church". We have chosen 6 different sessions from this conference that we feel are the most relevant to us as a body of Christ in Vienna and Austria. The Mercy House of Prayer Healing room is officially open!

We will have our first healing room THIS THURSDAY from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Below is some general information that you might find helpful:

MHOP Healing Room

The Mercy House of Prayer healing room was specifically created to minister to those in need of healing. Matthew 8:16-17 says, "And [Jesus] cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: 'He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.'" We believe it is Jesus' desire to heal the sick; this is clear not only from the prophecies written about Him, but also from His own life and ministry when He walked on the earth. He told the apostles to go and heal the sick, declaring that the kingdom of God had come into their midst (Luke 10:9). "Our Father in heaven, holy is Your name! Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done on EARTH, in our midst, just as it is in HEAVEN!"

General Information

Healing Room Times:
Every 2nd Tuesday and 4th Thursday of the month from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

No pre-registration is required for the healing room. Upon arrival, simply sign up with one of the MHOP ministry leaders for the healing room. You will then be led into the prayer room for a time of silent soaking prayer before being taken into the healing room for a time of focused, private prayer. The healing room will be staffed with teams of 2-3 healing ministers who will provide those who are seeking healing a comfortable, encouraging, and loving experience.

On Friday, October 23, 2009, we celebrated the 2nd Anniversary of the Mercy House of Prayer in Vienna, Austria! We had a wonderful evening filled with worship, testimonies of God's faithfulness, and thanks for His goodness and mercy.

Thank you all so much for the support you have given us through prayer, words of encouragement, and/or the giving of your time and gifts. God has used us all to accomplish His purposes here and we are so grateful. We look forward with great expectation for the days ahead! God is GOOD and His mercy endures forever!

We are definitely open during the normal times this summer:

Just thought I would surprise all of you by keeping a running blog today during our 10 a.m. prayer session.....

Opening:
Vicki praying out of Romans 6:12-14

Worshiping: (Psalm 24, Zieh Mich Hin Zu Dir, Your Love Never Fails, Mit Aller Kraft, At the Foot of the Cross, Oh God of Mine)

Prayer out of Isaiah 61:1-4: anointing leaders with this same anointing (Spirit) that was on Jesus Christ that the gospel of Your kingdom would go forth in power; praying for seminar in Feldkirch that is today "Prepare the way of the people and remove the Stones". Praying that Austria would exchange her ashes for beauty. Restore what the enemy has stolen and killed in this land. Restore relationships in the Body of Christ. Reveal Your heart for Israel to the Church.

-Stones of replacement theology that have caused blindness in this nation; reveal stones that need to be removed to prepare the way of Your coming. The love for Israel to be restored in the people of Austria.

Worshiping: (All I Need)

Prayer out of Revelation 2:8-11: praying for leaders and the body of Christ in Vienna. Praise God that He is the first and the last. He is the One who calls us and sustains us in the calling. He completes the calling. That leaders would lean and trust on You...that they would be yoked with You. Leaders be drawn into Your rest.

-Beginning and end of their faith...began the work of their faith, etc. they find life in you so fresh. A refreshing in the Holy Spirit. Prepare hearts of leaders for persecution that lies ahead. Let them hear today what the Spirit has to say to the church of Vienna.
-(Praying about LifeBall that is today in Vienna): Pray that the Lord would step down from heaven and intervene in this culture of death. Love the people hate the sin. They are calling it Life but in truth it's death. Bring Your kingdom culture. Of the increase of Your government and peace there will be no end.

-I Cor. 13:4-8: that this love would saturate the lives of body of christ in Vienna. "You said Do not fear"...your perfect love casts out all fear. (Rev.2:10) May the leaders walk in this. Release the fire of Your boldness in Your church. We desire for the supernatural to be ordinary and everyday. Release this in Austria today.

-Fresh revelation of what Abba means to the body of Christ and its leaders. Our Father is King.

-raise up a people that would speak with one mind. To speak out Your will.

-take stones that have been stumbling blocks and replace with living stones...to have Austria lead forth in Europe...to establish Your kingdom, the revelation of Christ. Your word does not go forth void but it accomplishes everything for what You send it out for. We want to come into agreement with everything You are doing in this land, Your will.

Prayer out of Isaiah 40:3-5: We long to see Your path made straight in this land that all would hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. We ask Your glory would be released through this seminar and through the Church so the way of the Lord (which is Christ) would be made straight so ALL would see the glory of God. Prepare the way Lord. Raise up a generation of John the Baptists in Austria to prepare the way of the Lord...worshipers, singers, teachers, missionaries, end-time messengers...to prepare the way. Voices of those crying out in the wilderness to Israel, to Austria, to the Church.

Worshiping: (Adonai)

Prayer out of Matt. 23:37-39: remove the veil from Israel...that thy would see yeshua and know that He is Messiah. Soften the hearden hearts and open the minds that are closed. You are relentless of Your pursuit of Israel. Break in in synagogues through your word. Visit your children that they would see and know that You are God. We long for them to cry out, "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!"

Zech. 8:1-11: We thank You that You are returning Your people. We want to know Your jealousy for Your people. Praying for ministries involving Israel: Ebeneezer, Friends of Israel, Christians for Israel. Strengthen them with encouragement, release provision for them to help them comfort Your people to help bring them back to the Land. Protect Your people in these ministries from a spirit of ant-semitism. Release new laborers to comfort Your people in this land (Austria) and in Israel. You say when the enemy comes in like a flood You will raise up a standard against him. Expose the darkness to the light of Your love. We look to You the One who performs all thing for us.

-Lifting up friends of ours ministering in the Land of Israel

-praying for all children in Israel (Jews and Gentiles) Send laborers into the field of their hearts, that Your love would transform them to know Yeshua as their Savior.

Zech. 8:20-23: Alleluja! Let it be! You are doing it!

Closing: 1 Cor. 13:4-8 Your love never fails. It is the greatest force in the universe. You are bringing it and establishing it on earth.

I'M BACK!! :)

Sorry for such a long absence! Things have really been busy, but great.....and the Lord's presence among us has been SO powerful! One of the things He has been speaking to us about is the sower and the SEED - Jesus, the incorruptible seed that redeems the land in which it (He) is planted. Some of the Scriptures that the Lord has given us are: Isaiah 55:10, 11; Zech. 8:12; 1 Peter 1:23; and 1 Cor. 3:6. We are asking Him for more revelation as we pray this for Vienna and Austria, Israel, the Church...and for us personally.

Also, many thanks to all of you who made Vicki's birthday so special with gifts, e-mails, notes, flowers, prayers - truly, I know she was one blessed woman! Here are pictures that were taken after our prayer session last Thursday night (May 7th), and the beginning of the birthday celebration:

Psalm 51:10-12

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit.

Father, thank You that You are always creating - You don't just use an old band-aid or a dirty patch for our bruised-up, broken hearts - You make ALL things new! Our Redeemer and Deliverer, restore us to an overflowing of the joy of Your salvation. You maintain and uphold us until the end....and then You CHOOSE to bless us! Manifest Your glory my God - that heaven and earth may meet together in the light of the love of Your Son. Amen.

This is one of the scriptures we prayed through this morning in our morning session. With Jacqueline Vandenbos leading worship (she leads every Tuesday morning) and David Boyd joining in; truly, the presence of the Lord was so heavy. I love Tuesday mornings....they are mostly times of contemplative worship with some intercession mixed in. Today was no different as we enjoyed His sweet Spirit among us.

Tonight, David led worship, and again...the Lord was faithful to meet us. We started in Luke 10 - the story of Martha and Mary. I am reminded again to be found at His feet...like Mary...to choose the ONE thing that is needed - "the good portion [that which is to her advantage]." (AMP)

A Couple of Announcements.....

We have some very special worship planned during our regular evening sessions in the next couple of weeks that we wanted to tell everyone about. The dates and worship leaders are:

Thursday, March 19th, 6 pm: Chris Poeschl
Tuesday, March 24th, 6 pm: Beatrix Flammer, Veronika Eyb, and Ingrid Fleischhacker
Tuesday, March 31st, 6 pm: David Boyd

It will be so great to have David back with us! David was a part of the initial group here in Vienna and Guntramsdorf to sit, wait before the Lord, and pray this house of prayer down from heaven and into existence! He has since moved back to the States, but we are thrilled to have him come lead worship for us while he is back ministering in Austria for a couple of weeks.

We hope you will be able to come and experience the presence of the Lord as our worship teams lead us into a powerful, yet intimate time of ministering to the Lord and seeking His heart!

Wow!! I can't believe it is finally here...the Mercy House of Prayer has entered the computer world! We are more excited than ever to share with you our experiences with God through worship and intercession!

Our current vision for this page is to provide news about upcoming events, updates on how the Lord is leading us in prayer, what we are learning, and maybe just a random thought or two. :)
